BETHESDA, Md. - Jaffe Associates, a leading business development consultancy for the professional services sector, announced today that Robert J. Ambrogi has joined the firm as Vice President of Editorial Services and director of Jaffe's WritersForLawyers.com. Ambrogi is based in Boston.
Formerly editor-in-chief of the National Law Journal, Ambrogi held the top editorial position in American Lawyer Media's Litigation Services Division, based in New York. Earlier, as director of the ALM News Service, he founded a daily wire service reporting legal news and cases from all 50 U.S. states. Recently, he helped ALM launch the quarterly magazine, Law Firm Inc. At Boston-based Lawyers Weekly Publications, Bob was founding editor of the national newspaper Lawyers Weekly USA and editor-in-chief of the company's flagship newspaper, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
Ambrogi is well known for his writing and speaking about lawyers and the Internet. He is author of two books on the topic, The Best (and Worst) Legal Sites on the Web, and The Internet Guide for Massachusetts Lawyers. Since 1993, his syndicated column about the Internet has run in legal periodicals throughout the U.S., and his Web Watch column has appeared in Law Technology News since 1999. He founded the first Internet newsletter for lawyers, legal.online, in 1994.
