Latham & Watkins took on the best in Europe and triumphed when the winner of the prestigious Best Managed Firm category, sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland, was announced on Wednesday in London at the MPF 2003 European Practice Management Awards.
Commented MPF Executive Director, Richard Chaplin, The panel of judges, led by consultant Alan Hodgart, found it hard to choose between Lathams and runner up DLA, widely recognized as one of Europes best managed professional firms. The judges were impressed by the efforts Latham has made to build on its strong US West Coast roots to become a global powerhouse through spreading its culture, values and systems. The theme of integration operates at the highest level, and the firm's management has shown a commitment to a truly inclusive culture.
