The good time crowd at Kean Miller has done it again. They've issued a "2004 Guide to Festivals de la Louisiane" just in time for Christmas. The guide arrives in a box picturing a crawdad, a peach, sunflower, strawberry and crab -- all things Louisiane. Kudos to Director of Client Services Steve Boutwell for coming up with this clever promotion.
The booklet is a guide and description of Mardi Gras, the Strawberry Festival in Ponchatoula, the New Orleans Jazz Festival, and FestForAll in Baton Rouge, home of the 100-lawyer Kean, Miller, Hawthorne, D'Armond, McCowan & Jarman. The colorful pages are illustrated with pictures of the lawyer's kids at the festivals, which include Conchon de Lait Festival in Mansura, Yum Yum festival in Ruston, and the Shrimp and Petroleum Festival in Morgan City. The last page is a foldout with the names, email addresses and phone numbers of all the lawyers.
Also packed in the box is a delightful CD with 15 tracks of music donated by the artists of FestForAll, held last May in downtown Baton Rouge. The tunes include "Cajun Crawfish Boil" and "Funkiest Man Around" to name a few. The festival promotes cultural diversity through a celebration of the arts, and Kean Miller supports the Arts Council, the Community Fund for the Arts and the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. This has got to be a fun place to practice law.
You can tell the lawyers of Kean Miller take pride in Louisiana's rich and diverse cultural heritage. "Come visit us for an upcoming festival and, perhaps, a Cajun crawfish boil!" the booklet says. This marketing is so good, it makes you wonder why you live anywhere else.
