New demographic research reveals that:

• 89% of lawyers practice in firms with 2 to 10 attorneys.
• The average age of attorneys is 49 years old, a member of Generation X.
• Women only make up 36% of attorneys.
• 88% of attorneys are white.
• The total number of licensed lawyers is 1,315,561
